One of the most important elements here at Garden Time is our knowledgeable staff.  Whether you are purchasing trees and shrubs for a new landscaping project, plants for your vegetable garden or a storage shed for your backyard, or a playset for your children; we strive to provide you with excellent service. It is this service that sets us apart from the big box stores the chain store experience.

David Caprood, Garden Time Store Manager, Queensbury
Dave joined Garden Time in March 2011 as the Store Manager in charge of the retail garden center. He has over 27 years of retail management experience with such companies as Caldor, Target and The Sports Authority. Dave recently relocated back to Upstate New York after spending the past 8 years with McDonald Garden Center in VA, as Retail General Manager. He enjoys the outdoors and working in his garden.
Dave looks forward to meeting you at the garden center and taking care of your gardening needs.
Erin, Greenhouse Grower and Manager, Queensbury
Erin has been at Garden Time Queensbury since 2007, and she loves that this job enables her to combine her two passions, working with both plants and people! She has a BS in Horticulture from Cornell University, and her special interests include native plants, shade gardening and edible landscapes. At home she enjoys spending time outdoors with her son and husband.
Connie, Queensbury
I started working at Garden Time on April 25th, 2007. I am a wife of 35 years, a mom to two sons, a Grannie to five grandchildren, a vegan for five years and an organic gardener forever. Every season at Garden Time is a beautiful experience and I feel lucky to be a part of it all!
 
Danny Hill, Outdoor Product Sales, Queensbury
Danny began working with Garden Time in the spring of 2010 in the outdoor products division selling sheds, play sets, gazebos and furniture.
He has a background in opticianry, retail sales and as a manufacturer’s sales representative in the optical industry. He is also a partner with RichArt Interiors. A full-service interior design company that specializes in custom painted finishes, trompe l’oeil and feng shui.
Danny moved to Queensbury from Dallas, TX in 1997.
His activities include gardening, hiking and cooking. He is married and always has an assortment of animals around. He has volunteered his time to The Hyde Collection and The Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration.

Rutland Staff

Paul “Albi” Albertazzi, Outdoor Department, Rutland

Albi has been part of Garden Time for the last 4 years as the Retail Store Sales Manager in Queensbury, NY.  Recently Albi has taken a new position in the Garden Time organization as the Outdoor Products Sales Manager for the Rutland Vt. Facility.

Albi ‘s is no stranger to the Rutland, Killington area.  He has been the President and General Manger of the former Ideal Horizons Co. and North American Customer Service Manager, for Wedeco Inc. both manufacturers of Ultraviolet Water Disinfection Systems, he also served as the National Customer Service Manager of Ultravation Inc. a manufacturer of Ultra Violet Air Disinfection systems.

Albi also co-owned and operated 2 retail businesses in the Killington area. Albi and his wife Linda have resided for the last 36 years in the Killington area with their 2 sons Matt, and Brian.

Alice, Green House Manager, Rutland

This is my second year here and bounce all around the store, helping to answer questions. I’ve worked with plants my whole life and all across the country. My favorite thing to do in the garden is to have containers to move from place to place for interest when the surrounding plants have stopped blooming. My gardens have been photographed and published in a book by Sydney Eddison. Look for me Sunday through Thursday.

Ben, Rutland

I’m 17 years old and I am a loader at the Rutland location. I go to High School in West Rutland. I love motorcross racing, hunting, and fishing. My favorite thing to plant is vegetables like tomatos, carrots and beans. My grandfather taught me everything I kno wbaout gardening. I have been helping him in his garden every year from the time I could walk, on.

Steve Fellows, Ourdoor Department, Rutland 

Steve has been working with the Amish vendors in the shed business for the past 15 years and with Garden Time for the last five years as Outdoor Sales Manager in the Rutland store. Having owned his own retail store and Managed several others, his retail experiance is extensive with a strong emphisis on customer service and making sure the customer is satisfied with the final product.

Wayne, Nursery, Rutland 

I have been with Garden Time since 2005 and I work throughout the store, but the nursery department is where you may have seen me most. I completed the Vermont Master Gardening program in 2005 and for the past 30 years I have been an active gardener. The last 20 years I have and gardened in Vermont so I have some experience with the Vermont growing seasons. If you need help with your vegetable gardens or shrubs, please stop by and ask for me!

Tom, Outdoor Department, Clifton Park/Halfmoon 

Tom has been with Garden Time for over a year in sales for the outdoor product division in our Vermont location as well as our New York Stores. Tom has been in Retail Management & Sales Management in the ski industry for over 20 years and a small business owner himself.
